Photo Shoot On Valentines Day

I got my new camera a Sony DSLR A350. I love it! I am still learing it but it takes great pictures! On Valentines Day I had a shoot to do for a friend's family and her sisters family. It was great and the location she picked was perfect! To top it off I had Chey there with me and I told her "stay close to me, I will let you hold my old camera while I use the new one" (I wanted the back up just in case) While I was shooting with the new one, she started taking pictures too. Before I knew if I took the whole shoot with the new one and she took them with the old one. She did great! I was so impressed with her talent already. Plus one she took or a random cat there we entered in the fair and It won her a blue ribbon! Im so very proud of her!

Here are some of my favorites of the shoot!

This one is Chey's cat picture that won her a blue ribbon!

Families & New Baby

Here are some of my favorites from my last 2 shoots. The one of all the families were taken the day after Christmas since they had family down and wanted to get them all in. There were 15 of them and they all were so cooperative and easy to photograph. It made my day very enjoyable!

The newborn pics are for the same family little Miss Lola. She is 4 weeks old and the light of her mommy & daddy's life.

I have to say that if wasn't for this little baby, I don't think I would be pursuing my photography dream. I have always loved to take pictures and usually hounded everyone to take pictures, but only during family events or once a year for our family photos.

When Sloan became pregnant she told me she wanted me to take her maternity pictures. I was really excited and started reading books, looking up websites and joined lots of photography groups to get ideas and help. I wanted her to be proud of them. After taking them, she shared them with her friends and it got the attention of another couple awaiting their first born, James & Amanda, who have become a regular customer of mine. I look forward to watching all of those little blessings grow up in my photography.

Since then I have taken other family, maternity, children and newborn pictures from them seeing the work I have done. I'm so thrilled with my new found talent and only hope I grow better and better over time with lots more practice!

I need to say a thanks also to all of my family & friends who have recommended me for any photography needs. I appreciate every ones support!

Thanks Sloan for believing in me to Capture You Little Blessing!

Our Famly Photos

I took our annual family photos (on my Mom's side) a few weeks ago in Leesburg. It was a nice day and everyone cooperated...even the men! The pics that I am in were taken by our family friend Sloan.

Wes, Hannah & Addie

This is a couple I have been friends with for a long while. We grew up in the same town and went to church and school together. I was very happy when Hannah agreed to let me take her maternity/Christmas photos for her and her family.
She is carrying twins due in January. They already have the most precious little girl Addie, who at first wanted nothing to do with me taking pictures of her. However she soon warmed up and I had a regular little model on my hands! She just posed her little self into all kinds of wonderful shots!
I enjoyed the time and opportunity to take the photos. We are hoping for a little one on one with Hannah if time permits before she has those 2 little bundles of joy. I look forward to possibly taking the twins photos once they arrive!

James & Amanda

This is James, Amanda & Captain. They asked me to do take their maternity photos for them. We did 2 seperate shoots. We met on Saturday for the outside shots and then the following Sunday for the inside shots. They are a great couple and it was such a joy to take their photos. Captain was a great dog and very photogenic! He looked most of the time and always had the cutest face!
I cant wait until the baby is born to be able to capture more memories for them!
